Eating well balancing diet during pregnancy is very important not only well but it requires highly full of nutrition not only for mother but also for a growing fetus in womb. So adequate food and diet for pregnant women is very crucial during her child bearing period keeps both mother and baby healthy and free from diseases. Milk and milk products


Pregnancy is a state when every women needs extra protein extra calories and energy for the preparation and the development of a healthy child and it starts when she will take adequate amount of food which consumes protein and calorie in her food not only these she needs iron, calcium, folates too in her diet so baby may develop proper physically and mentally.



Milk contains protein and calcium which helps in the baby development calcium helps to keep bones strong there are many various dairy products which are very useful during pregnancy for example yoghurt which is the source of calcium and fulfills the protein needs and probiotics also helps to prevent many complications in growing fetus.

Green leavy vegetables


One of the most important diet which is very crucial for every women during her pregnancy to take sufficient amount of green vegetables contains iron and folic acid which important for maintaining bloodstream these are also rich source of calcium for proper growth and development of baby.

Legumes are important for pregnant women should recommend in pregnancy diet there are some pulses which are important and source of protein, calcium and zink helps to grow fetus and for brain development. Green pulses, black beans and red kidney beans are the  good sources  of protein and calcium and also important for immune system.



Lentils which is a good source of protein and iron and folic acid fulfills the all nutrients needs helps to prevent constipation and make bowels movement soft and easy digestion during pregnancy also helps to prevent hemorrhoids which could be a complications during pregnancy.

Meat and meat products


Why meat and meat products are important to eat during pregnancy. Meat products contains all important nutrients rich in protein, iron, calcium, folic acid and zink these are all the nutrients becomes crucial during child bearing period because both mother and baby needs nutrients which could help baby in brain development, physical growth and strong immunity.



Meat products which should be avoided like raw meat and undercooked and seafood because there is risk of contamination of toxic substances so these should be avoided. Red meat is also beneficial to eat during pregnancy contains healthy fat substances which both mother and baby requires.

Fruits during pregnancy

Fruits are the rich sources of vitamin c which is very important to keep immune system strong and for defense mechanism. Orange, apple, bananas, mango, watermelon, avocado, guava, pears all are the rich sources of nutrients that a mother requires for her baby.

Dry fruits

During pregnancy dry fruits are suggested to eat empty stomach or with in milk because these are useful for the baby brain development yes there is no doubts but in some cases in starting these are avoided because of beliefs that more cosumption of dry fruits may risk in labour because it can imcrease baby size and there could be a problem in labour but this is not all true take these in minimum quantity and daily these are as helpful as fruits plays role in growth and development of baby.



Dry fruits in pregnancy like cashew, almond's, raisins, walnuts, appricot etc are enough these are the good source of protein and nutrient beneficial for baby and mother.


Whole Grains
Whole Grains are the food which is much more important for a pregnant lady because it contains I think overall nourishment to mother and baby it is a rich source of protein, iron, folic acid full of fibers, zink and magnesium. Whole grains like wheat, corn, oats, rice cereal's which is best for a healthy pregnancy some pregnant women avoids this but these are the sources of  calories too and during pregnancy In each trimester mother require more calorie.

 A pregnant woman needs 300 kl extra calories per day, till last trimester she takes total 2500 kl calorie because of increased requirement and adequate food and healthy diet can only fulfills her requirements.
